Viura

Origin: Viura, also known as Macabeo, is primarily grown in the Rioja and Penedès regions of Spain.

Production: This white grape variety produces light to medium-bodied wines that are typically fermented in stainless steel to preserve their fresh and fruity character. It is also one of the main grape varieties used in the production of Cava.

Taste: Viura wines are known for their bright acidity and light, fruity flavors. Common tasting notes include green apple, pear, and citrus, with floral and herbal aromas. They often have a crisp, clean finish.

Pairings: Viura pairs well with seafood, light salads, and poultry dishes. It also complements dishes with fresh herbs, Asian cuisine, and light pasta dishes.

Similar Wines: If you enjoy Viura, you might also like Albariño, Verdejo, and Sauvignon Blanc, which offer similarly light and aromatic profiles.
