Beaujolais

Origin: Beaujolais is produced in the Beaujolais region, south of Burgundy in France.

Production: Made primarily from the Gamay grape, Beaujolais wines are often produced using carbonic maceration, which enhances their fruity and floral characteristics.

Taste: Beaujolais wines are light-bodied with fresh, vibrant flavors of red berries, such as strawberry and cherry, along with floral and sometimes banana notes. They have low tannins and are best enjoyed young.

Pairings: Beaujolais pairs well with charcuterie, light salads, roasted poultry, and soft cheeses. It is also an excellent choice for holiday meals.

Similar Wines: If you enjoy Beaujolais, you might also like Pinot Noir, Valpolicella, and Dolcetto, which offer similarly light and fruity profiles.
